Realtors® Travel to Brazil for Unveiling of ImóvelGlobal.com Partnership

The Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale (RAPB + GFLR) and the South Broward Board of Realtors® have had a close relationship for over 10 years with Conselo Federal De Corretores De IMóveis (COFECI). They serve as the ambassador association to COFECI and traveled to Brazil for an exciting announcement at the COFECI Plenary.

“RAPB + GFLR and the South Broward Board of Realtors® visit to our General Assembly in Brasilia promoted a closer understanding of our partnership to NAR among our leaders and members. We look forward to expanding the interchange of activities with our Ambassador Association as a way to help investors and sellers, in both countries, to reach their targets and fulfill their needs,” said COFECI President, Joao Teodoro da Silva.

COFECI announced that they have partnered with ImóvelGlobal.com as part of their digital initiative. Simply put, ImóvelGlobal.com is an integrator of international portals for the Brazilian real estate industry with four clear and effective areas: listing integration, education, investment in immigration area, and establishing a Global Committee.

COFECI’s Realtor® members can now list properties on ImovelGlobal.com. ImovelGlobal.com can make technical adjustments to the listings and automatically send them to Realtor.com, who has a worldwide reach. Instead of Brazilian listings only appearing to buyers within Brazil, they are now stepping out into the international market.

“COFECI is looking to upgrade the way they list properties in Brazil. This new partnership will give them a more sophisticated and secure way to share listings across the world. As their ambassador association, RAPB + GFLR and the South Broward Board of Realtors® will be there to guide COFECI every step of the way. Together, we want to effectively improve the way listings are seen and consumers are helped both in Brazil and globally,” said Jeffrey Levine, President of RAPB + GFLR and the South Broward Board of Realtors®.

Both associations visited Washington D.C. for NAR’s Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo. This was a great opportunity for COFECI’s leadership team to see how lobbying works in the government. COFECI shadowed them for the week and sat in on meetings with government officials on regulations that will benefit Realtors®. COFECI will bring the knowledge they learned back to Brazil to help lobby for Realtor® benefits in their own country.

Brazilians are leading the charge in Latin American real estate investing in Florida. Brazilians were the 2nd largest foreign investor in Florida at 9%, and 65% of Brazilian buyers in Florida targeted the Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami Metropolitan area.

The average purchase from Brazilian foreign investors is $614,355, which is substantially higher than the state average of $375,000.  The homes being purchased are used 32% of the time as vacation homes, 26% as a primary residence, and 19% as a vacation and rental.

RAPB + GFLR and the South Broward Board of Realtors® look forward to seeing the benefits of COFECI’s new digital initiative and their continued partnership as the ambassador association to Brazil.

Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® is the 3rd largest local Realtor® association in the country, representing 33,000 Realtors®, 35,000 MLS subscribers, and 5 regional boards across South Florida & the Treasure Coast. For more info, visit Rworld.com or contact Communications@rworld.com.
