Mayors Breakfast Brings Realtors® Together
Realtors® from across the State came together on Thursday, May 30th, for the second event of the three-part Mayors' Breakfast event series. The gathering, held at the Broward Center For The Performing Arts, provided a platform for discussions on strategic communications and collaborative efforts with the Broward region's elected officials.
Attendees settled into their seats in the Amaturo theater as the program commenced. RWorld Past-President Chris Krzemien and 2024 RWorld First-Vice President Kenny Silverman led the recognition of guests, chamber partners, and association leadership. Elected officials were then invited on stage to address a series of six questions, covering topics such as their official origins, top accomplishments, property value trends, areas of excellence within their municipality, and key issues like traffic, mobility, and infrastructure.
The elected officials included Vice Mayor Susan Starkey from Davie, Mayor Dean Trantalis from Fort Lauderdale, Vice Mayor Lawrence Martin from Lauderhill, Mayor Veronica Phillips from Lauderdale Lakes, Mayor Wayne Messam from Miramar, Mayor Angelo Castillo from Pembroke Pines, Mayor Nick Sortal from Plantation, Mayor Michael Ryan from Sunrise, Mayor Micelle gomez from Tamarac, and Vice Mayor Mike Bracchi from Wilton Manors.
Key highlights of the event included Realtors® participating in interactive question-and-answer sessions on local policies and developments within their cities. This engagement allowed them to establish connections with government officials, arrange meetings to address issues, and collaborate on solutions to drive positive change in their municipalities.
RWorld Past-President Chris Krizemien followed up by stating, “This platform allows for a thorough examination of topics aimed at fostering strong communities, safeguarding property interests, and cultivating a vibrant business environment.”
This event showcases the longstanding relationship between the Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® and local elected officials, emphasizing true collaborative efforts as they discussed important topics covering the diverse municipalities. These advancements in the real estate industry truly underscore the bond between these two entities, and they came together to make a difference in the cities where Realtors® live, work, and play.
