BeachesMLS creates massive reach to California and the Mid-Atlantic for members

BeachesMLS is entering into a massive data share with the two largest MLSs in the nation, California Regional MLS (CRMLS) and BrightMLS – the geographic service area of these MLSs represents some of the highest consumer migration to South Florida. This partnership creates a direct linkage for BeachesMLS brokers to further assist out-of-state consumers in relocating to South Florida.

South Florida continues to remain the hotspot for buyers all over the world. BeachesMLS, a subsidiary of Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors®, is harnessing the value of the relocation trend and bringing direct value to its brokers and the clients they serve.

BrightMLS has roughly 110,000 MLS subscribers spanning 40,000 miles within the Mid-Atlantic states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia.

“The Northeast Coast has always been a natural marketplace for consumers to purchase property in South Florida,” said Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® and BeachesMLS CEO Dionna Hall. “During the pandemic, we saw a significant increase in that activity, and even more now that we have been dubbed the ‘Wall Street South’. The Mid-Atlantic represents one of the largest pools of out-of-state buyers relocating to Florida, and this data share allows us to help incoming buyers, as well as those relocating out of state throughout the I-95 corridor,” continued Hall.

CRMLS is the country’s largest MLS, serving more than 110,000 real estate professionals on the West Coast.

“California consumers purchasing property in South Florida is a new emerging market that has been heavily documented in recent months,” said Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® President Chris Krzemien. “California is currently ranked third for out-of-state consumers moving to Florida. BeachesMLS noticed the emerging trend and expanded migration pattern of California buyers relocating to South Florida. They’re jumping from paradise to paradise, so it’s an easy choice, but they also have the potential to save money while doing so when you look at property cost comparisons. There was an influx of Californians looking to relocate to Florida during the pandemic; fast forward two years later, and they are still migrating,” continued Krzemien.

Ultimately this means that BeachesMLS, CRMLS and BrightMLS real estate professionals will be well-positioned to work among these key markets seamlessly.

“South Florida is one of the strongest markets in the nation, and we are excited to provide our practitioners a direct linkage to these meaningful marketplaces,” said BeachesMLS Chairman Jeffrey Levine. “The Mid-Atlantic states have historically sought out South Florida as the destination of choice when crossing state lines and relocating. Empty nesters take advantage of the ideal weather, low property taxes and not paying a state income tax.”

The Multiple Listing Service, better known as the MLS, provides real-time listing data. Real estate listings originating from the MLS have consistently been deemed the most reliable and comprehensive data available for consumers looking to buy or sell.
