St. Lucie Median Home Price Increases as Summer Approaches

Just in! Newly released market reports from Florida Realtors® detailing recent real estate activity in St. Lucie County. The reports compare year-over-year data for April. Here are statistics on single family homes.

“The median home price continues to increase year-over-year in St. Lucie County. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues as summer approaches. April’s median home price is $230,000 for the 2nd consecutive month,” said Jarrod Lowe, President Elect of the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale.

The median home price in St. Lucie County increased by 5.1 percent from $218,750 to $230,000. Median sale price is our preferred summary statistic for price activity because unlike average sale price, median sale price is not sensitive to high sale prices for small numbers of homes that may not be characteristic of the market area.

“The supply of inventory increased 22.9 percent to 4.3 months. We are steadily closing in on a balanced market and now is a good time to contact a local Realtor® for expert guidance on buying or selling,” continues Lowe.

The supply of inventory increased from 3.5 to 4.3 months year-over-year. Active inventory also increased by 21 percent from 1,625 to 1,967 listings.
