Realtors® Raise Funds for Attainable Housing
The Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale (RAPB + GFLR) hosted an event that helped raise funds for the Attainable Housing Foundation. The Attainable Housing Foundation plays an active role in addressing the ongoing housing crisis facing our country by providing Attainable Housing grants. Since 2006, more than 85 grants have been approved, making the dream of homeownership a reality for many residents.
On February 22nd, over 60 members and affiliates attended RAPB + GFLR and the Women’s Council of Realtors® 1st Annual Nite at the Races. The night was centered around pre-recorded horse races that benefited the Attainable Housing Foundation. The evening also featured hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, a fundraising raffle, and a crazy hat contest. The event was sponsored by DBJ Home Inspections, Geneva Financial, Certified Property Inspections, Caliber Home Loans, and Ally Parker Brown Title Insurance Agency. Nite at the Races raised $1700 for the Attainable Housing Foundation.
The next day, February 23rd, RAPB + GFLR’s Young Professionals Network also hosted a kickball tournament at Turtle Run Park. The Young Professionals Network is a growing group of young, career-minded real estate professionals sharing the latest tools, resources, and networking opportunities with their peers. Along with playing kickball, lunch and refreshments were provided to the 100 attendees. Ten teams participated in the kickball tournament with fun team names and custom-made t-shirts. The winning team, One Hit Wonders, was presented with a trophy. The event proceeds will also be donated to the Attainable Housing Foundation.
