On the November 6th ballot, Broward county voters are being asked to approve the enactment of a new Broward County Affordable Housing Trust Fund. The purpose of this proposed Trust Fund is to provide a continuous fund to address the obvious need for affordable housing in Broward County.

The Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale (RAPB +GFLR) hosted the Realtor® Revolution Conference on October 5th at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
Realtors® Donate $18,000 to Local Non-Profit
Last week, members of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) of Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale gathered in an empty warehouse behind the Solid Waste Authority’s Recovered Materials in Processing Facility in West Palm Beach. Their intention was to meet with Paint Your Heart Out (PYHO) President Joanna Aiken and Board Member Robert Waples to present a check for $18,300 to the non-profit, which assists homeowners in financial need with exterior home repairs.
Auction Hosted to Benefit the Realtor® Party
On September 28th, the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale and the South Broward Board of Realtors® hosted the Realtor® Party Auction to benefit the Realtor® Party. The auction took place at the Pier 66 Hotel and Marina in Fort Lauderdale.
Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale Awarded Business of the Year
At the 34th Annual Business and Industry Awards, the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale won the Business of the Year Award in the Real Estate Category. The awards ceremony was hosted on September 26, 2018 by the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and recognized the best businesses and industry leaders in St. Lucie County.
Vote Passed to Merge
Union with Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors® Creates One of the Largest Mergers in History
The Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches (RAPB) has announced the member vote passed for the merger with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors® (GFLR). This merger will form the third largest local Realtor® association in the nation becoming the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale. According to the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), this is the first local association merger of 2017.
“With a 99% passing rate, as well as the highest voter participation in the history of the RAPB, our members turned out in record numbers to vote in support of the merger”. said Dionna Hall, Chief Executive Officer of RAPB. Hall will be installed as the CEO of the merged Association and MLS.
