Important Update for the Palm Beach Gardens Food Service Industry
Great news for the Food Service Industry!
The City of Palm Beach Gardens, in partnership with the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and PGA Corridor Association, has announced the next phase of their Economic Recovery Act to assist local businesses impacted by closures for COVID-19.
Phase Two of the Palm Beach Gardens Economic Recovery Act aims specifically at helping restaurants, bars, and breweries through the creation of the Food Services Stabilization Fund. The City has allocated $596,000 in aid for eligible restaurants, bars, and breweries with 3-75 employees that have been in business in Palm Beach Gardens for 18 months or more. Funds received through the program will be in the form a grant that businesses do not have to repay. Each business can qualify to receive up to $15,000.
At their June 4, 2020 meeting, City Council approved funding for the program that will aid businesses that have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. Businesses who have received funds from the SBA Paycheck Protection Program or the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Emergency Bridge Loan may still apply for the grant.
Interested establishments can get a detailed list of qualification criteria and more information through the city’s website at www.pbgfl.com/relieffund. The application process for eligible restaurants, bars, and breweries in Palm Beach Gardens will begin on Monday, June 15 at 8:00 a.m. and will close on Monday, June 22 at 5:00 p.m.
