Palm Beach County Starts Phase 2 Reopening

Palm Beach County has been given permission to start Phase 2 of the Reopening Process by Governor Ron DeSantis.

After careful consideration of conditions and indicators related to the spread of COVID-19, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners sent a letter and outline requesting to start Phase 2 of reopening the county to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The Incremental Phase 2 Reopening Plan outlines proposed steps for re-opening additional Palm Beach County businesses in staggered increments beginning approximately Tuesday, September 8. Evaluation periods are built in between each of the steps to allow for review of health metrics data to determine if any significant resurgence may be attributed to the advancement of the incremental openings.

Governor DeSantis responded by saying that he received the letter and is ready to sign off on Phase 2 of reopening Palm Beach County.

This would allow movie theaters, bowling alleys and other entertainment venues to reopen but not at full capacity. Bar seating at restaurants would be also be allowed.
