Median Sale Price Reaches $234,000, Highest in 2019

Just in! Newly released market reports from Florida Realtors® detailing recent real estate activity in St. Lucie County. The reports compare year-over-year data for May. Here are statistics on single family homes.

“The median sale price in St. Lucie County increased $11,000 year-over-year to $234,000. This is the highest median sale price that we have seen so far in 2019,” said Jarrod Lowe, President Elect of the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale and the South Broward Board of Realtors®.

The median sale price increased 4.9 percent to $234,000. The closed sales in St. Lucie County also increased in May. There were 609 home sales, which is 1.8 percent higher than May of 2018.

“We saw significant year-over-year increases in active inventory at 22.1 percent and months’ supply of inventory at 22.9 percent. St. Lucie County is showing growth. Contact a local Realtor® for direction on buying and selling in the current market,” continues Lowe.

There are now 1,942 active listings in St. Lucie County, which is a 22.1 percent increase year-over-year. The months’ supply of inventory also rose 22.9 percent to 4.3 months.
