More Homes for Sale Push Prices Down in Martin and Indian River, Says President Jonathan Lickstein

After a small jump in February, single-family home prices on the Treasure Coast dropped in March due to the influx of new listings hitting the market.
Realtor® data shows that median prices fell to $590,000 in Martin County, $390,000 in Indian River, while St. Lucie nudged up to $395,000. At the same time, sellers listed more homes for sale: 1,005 in Martin, 1,375 in Indian River, and 2,797 in St. Lucie.
"It's not a depressed market where you've seen absolute massive price drops," explained Jonathan Lickstein, president of Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors ®. "I kind of like where we are. We are very prepared for a buyer's market. We have the inventory. We have the options."
Lickstein points out that since he’s not seeing anything go up or down drastically, it’s very indicative of the steady market that we have right now.
