For weeks, our industry has been aggressively working to address the demand letters being sent by the Portell Law Group to Realtors® mostly in Florida, but also outside of Florida, alleging that their websites violate the Fair Housing Act.

We have been in close communication with Florida Realtors® about this issue and fundamentally disagree with the premise of these allegations and recognized the need to fight them as an industry.

Florida Realtors® immediately escalated this issue to the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and worked with NAR to respond to these allegations. The result is the response below formally questioning these claims.
