Martin County Median Home Price Continues to Fluctuate
Just in! Newly released market reports from Florida Realtors® detailing recent real estate activity in Martin County. The reports compare year-over-year data for October. Here are statistics on single family homes.
“After seeing the irregular increase last month, median sale price has shrunk to a number that might accurately represent where it’s at. It rose a mere 0.9 percent year-over-year to $380,000,” said Jarrod Lowe, Incoming President of Broward, Palm Beaches, and St. Lucie Realtors®.
Median sale price is our preferred summary statistic for price activity because, unlike average sale price, median sale price is not sensitive to high sales prices for small numbers of homes that may not be characteristic of the market area.
“The median sale price has fluctuated throughout 2019. We have seen it get as low as $327,000 in February and as high as $386,500 in September. As we inch closer to 2020, it will be interesting to see if prices shift towards a steady pattern,” continues Lowe.
