Housing Inventory Increases for Seventh Consecutive Month

Just in! Newly released market reports from Florida Realtors® detailing recent real estate activity in Martin County. The reports compare year-over-year data for June. Here are statistics on single family homes.

“Housing inventory is up for the seventh consecutive month. Martin County now offers buyers over 1,000 active listings to choose from. Of those active listings, 22 percent are new,” said Jarrod Lowe, President Elect of the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale and the South Broward Board of Realtors®.

Along with the 11.6 percent rise in active listings, Martin County also saw an increase in months’ supply of inventory. The 13.3 percent increase to 5.1 months was just shy of the benchmark of a balanced market, favoring neither buyer or seller.

“To keep a pulse on the real estate market, reach out to a local Realtor® for real-time data about new, active, and sold listings,” continues Lowe.

In June, 236 listings sold, down 7.1 percent year-over-year. Also, the median sale price rose 4.9 percent from $367,000 to $385,000.
